Meet the Crew

The experience on the water starts with the people running it. Our crew is focused on preparation, professionalism, and delivering a consistent, high-quality fishing experience.

Operating out of Marina Flamingo, our crew brings years of experience fishing the waters of Guanacaste and competing at a high level.

Captain Edwin

Fish Tale 2 Captain

Captain Edwin leads Fish Tale 2 with experience, discipline, and a clear focus on doing things the right way.

With years on the water in Guanacaste, he understands how to read conditions, adjust strategy, and keep the boat in productive areas throughout the day.

As captain, Edwin sets the tone for every trip—focused, prepared, and committed to running a clean, professional operation.

His approach is simple:
Stay prepared, stay consistent, and give every trip the same level of effort—regardless of conditions.

That mindset is what separates a good day from a well-run one.

He also started with us as a 2nd mate years ago, and has worked his way to Captain.

Nesmer

Fish Tale 2 First Mate

Nesmer brings consistency and attention to detail to every trip. He focuses on preparation, equipment, supporting both the crew and guests throughout the day, and, of course, hooking fish.

His role helps ensure that everything behind the scenes runs the way it should—so the experience on the water feels smooth and well-managed, while utilizing his wealth of knowledge to put out the right spreads, lures, and baits.

He is an expert, and we are proud to have him on your Fish Tale 2

Our Approach

We don’t try to be the biggest operation—we focus on doing it right, and being the best at what we do.

That means:

  • showing up prepared

  • adjusting to conditions

  • maintaining equipment

  • treating every trip with the same level of effort

Fishing conditions change daily. What doesn’t change is how the crew prepares, adapts, and approaches every trip.

Operating Out of Marina Flamingo

Our crew operates exclusively out of Marina Flamingo in Guanacaste, giving us efficient access to both offshore and inshore fishing grounds.

That allows us to spend more time fishing and less time running.

Fish with a Crew That's Prepared 〰️

The difference in a fishing trip comes down to how it’s run—and who you’re running it with.

Choose a crew that takes preparation, execution, and consistency seriously.
